    TRAINING PROGRAMMES AT K V AFS MANAURI PRAYAGRAJ

    1 Sensitization programme on safety and security/ disaster programme Disaster management refers to the efficient management of resources and responsibilities that will help in lessening the impact of the disaster. It involves a well-planned plan of action so we can make effective efforts to reduce the dangers caused by the disaster to a minimum. In view of above Vidyalaya conducted a training programme (I) making school disaster free. (II) Safety of children in respect of in and out door hazards.
    2 Awakened citizen programme The Awakened Citizen Programme is a three-year graded value education program for students in middle school and high school, run by the Ramakrishna Mission. The purpose of this Programme is to ignite the infinite strength and potential inherent in every child. Awakening a deep sense of self-respect and harmonious coexistence in all Indians and empowering them to find alternative ways to think and make responsible choices after fully understanding the consequences of their actions. The Vidyalaya provided at least 16 periods in the school time table specifically earmarked for this program. With the help of two sets of Manuals (CFT) and CDs containing both the English and Hindi Power Point slides students were enlightened. These materials are kept in the Vidyalaya and are made readily available to teachers for use during class facilitation.
    3 Green school programme for environment awareness Green school programme for environment awareness.
    The Green School Project has been started in our Vidyalaya. Many plants are planted in our Vidyalaya. The garden is decorated with verities of flowering plants. Some decorative plants, medicinal and herbal plants are also there in our garden. These plants are decorated with different designs. Different plants are also planted around the play-ground which give shade to students and staff members. The plants are marked with numbering using black paints. Two numbers of the conservancy staff are taking care of the plants as well as garden regularly.
    Mrs. Kalpana Dwivedi PGT (GEO) and Mr.R K Patel PGT (BIO) are supervising and monitoring the GSP of our Vidyalaya. This Green School Project activities are carried out by all of us in true spirit for the beautification of Vidyalaya environment
    4 NISHTHA training programme The Department of School Education and Literacy launched a National Mission to improve learning outcomes at the Elementary level through an Integrated Teacher Training Programme called NISHTHA – National Initiative for School Heads’ and Teachers’ Holistic Advancement on 21st August, 2019. The aim of this integrated teacher training programme was to build the capacities of around 42 lakh teachers and Heads of Schools, faculty members of SCERTs and DIETs and Block Resource Coordinators and Cluster Resource Coordinators. All the teachers of our Vidyalaya participated and completed the all programmes of NISHTHA issued time to time by the KVS.
    5 FLN training programme Foundational Literacy and Numeracy: An urgent and necessary prerequisite to learning outlines the goals as; the ability to read and write, and perform basic operations with numbers for all future schooling and lifelong learning. Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) refers to basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics. It is the ability to read and understand a basic text write and perform simple mathematical operations. The Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) Mission under NIPUN Bharat is an educational initiative in India aimed at improving the basic literacy and numeracy skills of students, particularly in the early grades of primary school. All the teachers of our Vidyalaya participated and completed the all programmes of FLN issued time to time by the KVS.
